Getting pictures done for you and your family, you and your fiance, or for you as an actor or performer should never be a stressfull experience. It should be relaxing and fun! My number one priority on every shoot is to make sure that you're comfortable. Had a tough audition right before our shoot? Let's sit and have a cup of coffee before we get started. Train made you late this morning? No problem! Let's take a minute to chat and relax before we begin. Not sure how you feel about your hair, your outfit, etc...? Let's talk about what you feel isn't right and figure out a solution. All these things are crucial elements to creating the perfect atmosphere for your shoot, and I'll never get started until you're 100% comfortable.

DO YOU SHOOT IN A STUDIO OR OUTDOORS?

I LOVE outdoor light! It's natural, its perfect, there are an infinite amount of 'backgrounds' that the city has to offer and it feels like a shame to let that go to waste! A studio has its definite pro's, but my preference remains outdoors. Something about the sun on a face can bring you to life!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR HEADSHOTS?

This is the advice I give most often: Wear solid colors. Bright colors work great, and so do blues, greens, grays. Bring a variety! Bring tops that you really like to wear. Your favorite shirt for example, something that you feel really good in! For guys, one pair of jeans that you're comfortable in will work fine for the entire shoot. I recommend wearing an undershirt so we can do quick changes in the park of your shirts to help get through as many outfits as we can! For girls, wear something you feel gorgeous in! Think of colors that bring out the color in your eyes and compliments your skin tone.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY ENGAGEMENT SESSION?

Try and avoid matching outfits (i.e., both wearing jeans and white tshirts) because it never tends to look as good in pictures as it does in our minds! Wear things you feel GREAT in and really showcase what you're about. Anything with logos or patterns tend to be distracting in pictures, so I recommend avoiding those completely. I also don't recommend wearing khaki - for some reason it shows up as a very strange color in pictures and is difficult to color correct. I think a lovely dress for ladies and slacks or jeans and a buttoned up shirt for him is one outfit idea. Then perhaps a cardi, cute blouse and jeans for her and a tee and his favorite jeans for him. The most important thing is to wear something that is comfortable and that you feel attractive in! It makes all the difference!

WHAT IS YOUR AVAILABILITY?

Try to contact me at least one week before when you'd like to schedule your shoot. Currently, I'm only scheduling appointments on the weekends and do not schedule more than 2 sessions a day.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE CONSULTATIONS BEFORE THE SHOOT?

This consultation is really an opportunity for you to ask me any questions you have. We can discuss specific ideas you have for your shoot, and further details about the kind of headshot you want. For performers - we can discuss roles that you usually go up for, specific "types" you usually play and any other relevant things to help capture shots that will be most useful for you.

HOW LONG AFTER OUR SESSION CAN I SEE MY PICTURES?

This depends on scheduling in the days after our shoot. But in general, your pictures will be up in an online gallery for viewing no more than one week after our appointment.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO RESCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENT?

I require 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Anything less than 48 hours will result in a loss of half of your deposit. If notice to reschedule or cancel comes less than one business day before our shoot date, the full deposit will not be refunded.
